The breathy clouds pulse up from within the leafy keep
The fleeting peace just a stage set, braced for an alarm
Like sniffing foxes scything through, they have come to do you harm.

Flicked switch, frantic,
unwrapping of a gift this brutal world has offered up.
Make it sharp and keep it swift.
But a child is in the eyes of the awaiting casualty
And their resonating words mounting up into a plea, saying,
